A girl walks in a dark forest, wandering and searching yet waiting and waiting. Too much waiting, she thought to herself moments ago, not enough searching. So now she is searching but also waiting in a forest of darkness. She didn't belong here where trees grew from the sky and shrouded the sun. Tammi stared at the chalkboard as Ms. Suzuki's hair bun bobbed around. She was writing more notes on the board and explaining stuff that Tammi couldn't follow. She should be taking a nap by now because Shick would later explain it to her with words she can understand but she isn't here. She incurred the flu and is expected to be back in a few days. Tammi and Shick came out the school doors carrying their book bags and lunch boxes while the bell rang, marking the end of school. Shick was explaining everything to Tammi about what they learned in class. Tammi was very slow and didn't understand most of the big words the teachers say during notes so Shick ends up dumbing it down for her. "And that is what we learned in class today. Any questions Tammi?" asked Shick. "No. I'm good!" Tammi answered. "Hey sis, I bet you'd be a good teacher someday! You can explain it all without using huge words. It's really helpful!" Shick became infuriated once again at the mention of the little nickname.

Tammi's head spun as she stared up at the board which was covered in words, numbers, and symbols. They had switched for math only 10 minutes earlier but it feels like an eternity. Her teacher's words went into her ear and out the other about who knows what. The warm heat from the windows was consuming her. She was getting extremely tired. You gotta admit it's understandable considering the boring atmosphere and the warm heat. It would make most people fall asleep. Tammi's eyes were glued shut and she breathed in and out slowly. Her lips, as always, were smiling rather big. She was having a dream but not any old dream. This dream is the only one she can remember everything about which pretty much creeps her out. She isn't known for having a good memory. But every word said, every detail of her castle, every place she's seen, every single thing when she regains consciousness is etched into her brain. Hello there! It's Lizzy! This is my first story that is actually, well, a story. If you've seen my other stories story, it wasn't all that long. It was anything but long. It was a folktale after all. Well anyway, this story was supposedly made for my last young authors before I left 8th grade. It's been a couple of months since then but I'm still making it because I put in so much effort and I'm not gonna let it go to waste. Plus, my friends want to know what happens next.
